Ford shows off its ‘10 lineup
Ford Motor Co., in the middle of launching 10 new or redesigned vehicles this year, said Tuesday it intends to maintain a similar pace for the foreseeable future.
This year, Ford is introducing an all-new Ford Taurus and nine other models that will reduce the average age of its product lineup to 2.4 years, according to a recent Merrill Lynch report.
“Our intention is to maintain that freshness and that product age,” Derrick Kuzak, Ford’s group vice president of global product development said in Dearborn today.
Ford Motor Co. plans to use electric powertrains and smaller engines to improve fuel economy while offering a full range of vehicles.
